Baby Clothing Sizes

Baby clothes are usually sized by age, but every little one grows at their own pace. Use this as a general guide — the weights are approximate and can vary between brands.

• 0–3 Months — up to approx. 14 lb (6.4 kg)
• 3–6 Months — up to approx. 18 lb (8.2 kg)
• 6–9 Months — up to approx. 20 lb (9 kg)
• 9–12 Months — up to approx. 22 lb (10 kg)
• 12–18 Months — up to approx. 26 lb (11.8 kg)
• 18–24 Months — up to approx. 28 lb (12.7 kg)

Choosing the Right Size

Buying a gift and not sure how old baby is? Here's our simple advice:

• No need to size up yourself — we've already chosen a generous size for you.
• 0–3 months is the safest all-round choice for a new arrival or baby shower gift.
• Newborns are only tiny for a few weeks, so 3–6 months often gets more wear.
• For a keepsake to grow into, 6–12 months is lovely.
